Ria Loveridge
Designs these workshops with experience of youth and support work. She was teaching hand sewing and recycling after she graduated from Bsc Anthropology and later went on to make costumes for Cbeebies on BBC1. She has been part of theatre productions and burlesque shows making costumes and back
drops.
With the recycle and sew philosphy she proclaims that learning a few basic skills and finding a bit of creativity anyone can revamp their old clothes or make something new within hours and wear it that night!
She enjoys destroying the old belief that sewing is hard, its only hard if you want absolute perfection, if you look at the clothes you buy they are rarely sewn straight...just have a look!
